Another Critical Vote: No on I-2066

There is yet another critical “NO” vote on the November ballot here in Washington: Initiative 2066.

Attention building decarb advocates! I-2066 is a far reaching initiative that would undo the State’s climate friendly energy code, roll back existing laws that keep our utilities on the path to clean energy, and prevent local efforts that support the transition off of polluting fossil fuels in homes and buildings. This would undermine energy efficiency, raise the cost of building and powering new homes, and increase energy bills for households and small businesses. 

I-2066 is a direct attack on landmark policies and programs Shift Zero members have advocated for – that’s why Shift Zero is joining a growing coalition including builders, nurses and doctors, workers, advocates for families living on low-incomes, and others endorsing the No on 2066 campaign.
